Earth Day only started in 1970. I know that because it’s my Mom’s birthday and she’s made me aware that her birthday is so special that on her 12th birthday it became recognized and celebrated by the entire EARTH!
Turns out that last year, 2020, was the 50th anniversary, but being that we were all a little distracted last spring I wouldn’t be surprised if many weren’t aware of the Golden Jubilee of Earth Day.
Reflecting on last year I think the Earth Day founders would be proud that so many people around the globe rekindled their romance with Mother Earth. We say rekindled because to love the Earth is innate – we’re born with it. It’s our home. So last year, as soon as we could, we got OUTSIDE! And man, getting outside really works, its curative! It can ease the woes. As a member of the Green Industry, I feel very proud and accomplished because we provided sanctuary and space for humanity this past year. We bring to life invaluable space for people to gather safely and enjoy life. We harness the power of biological life through soil and plants to enhance our biological life. Whether we’re swinging hickory sticks, kicking a ball, or just enjoying the serenity. HAPPY EARTH DAY 2021.
